Linepipe Coatings

Corrosion resistant polyethylene coatings

FR*35 PE coatings offers outstanding corrosion protection, well in excess of the requirements of DIN 30670. They are extremely resistant to diffusion and disbanding both under normal conditions and in corrosive environments, at high temperatures and under protective current.

The PE coating, normally yellow, is made of low-density polyethylene (LDPE) according to DIN 30670 for operating temperatures of up to 50oC or medium-density polyethylene (MDPE) according to DIN 30670 for operating temperatures up to 70oC. Black coatings and those with higher density (HDPE) are also available.

Other thicknesses are available and it is also possible to apply an additional layer to the normal PE coating to provide mechanical protection (against stones, for example). MDPE or HDPE or different thicknesses are recommended for this purpose.

Fibre-cement mortar coating

Fibre-cement mortar coating, applied in addition to the PE coating according to DIN 30670, offers ideal protection against mechanical damage during transport and, in particular, when laying without sand embedding.
